Neil Woodward is Professor and Charlotte and Donald Test Jr Chair in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Neil obtained his doctorate in clinical psychology at Vanderbilt University after completing an internship in clinical neuropsychology at the Edmonton Consortium Clinical Psychology Residency. He subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship in psychiatric neuroimaging at Vanderbilt University Medical Center before joining the faculty in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in 2009. Neil is actively engaged in research, clinical service, and training. He uses multimodal neuroimaging and neuropsychological methods to study psychotic disorders, developmental disorders, and normal brain development. His clinical activities include conducting neuropsychological assessments on individuals with psychiatric and neurological disorders, as well as presurgical fMRI evaluations of individuals with epilepsy and brain tumors. His clinical service and research program serve as a platform for mentoring trainees at all levels across the spectrum of basic, translational, and clinical science.
